David Spear is a Guggenheim fellow, whose work has been collected by most major museums in the Eastern United States including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, the Gregg Museum in Raleigh, the Ackland Museum in Chapel Hill, the Weatherspoon Art Museum in Greensboro, as well as the Guilford College art gallery. David’s work is primarily in the field of documentary photography. He has also written three published books. Presently much of David’s work is being archived at the Wilson Library in Chapel Hill, NC.
