Education: B.S. in Sociology, Appalachian State University; M.Ed. in Elementary Education, University of North Carolina at Greensboro

Erin loves how NGFS teaches the whole child. She says, “We teach innovative lessons on core curriculum areas as well as providing instruction and gentle guidance on navigating social situations.” She also appreciates how students, teachers, and parents form close relationships in order to better develop each child’s gifts.

As Erin begins her seventh year at New Garden, she is excited to join the kindergarten team in Sunrise.

In her free time, Erin enjoys crafting with vinyl and paper. She is married to Joel, a cellist and a middle and high school orchestra teacher. She has two sons, Wesley, a TK student at NGFS, and William who was born in 2017, and a Boston Terrier named Anna.
