Juliet Gervasi

Years at NGFS: 1

Education: B.A. in music from Guilford College; M.M. in guitar performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (in process).

Before coming to NGFS, Juliet was the graduate teaching assistant to the guitar department at UNCSA, where she taught classes in guitar performance and sight reading, as well as private lessons. Currently, she continues to teach private classes and lessons at the UNC School of the Arts Community Music School, and Moore Music.

Juliet is excited to join the faculty at NGFS because, "I very much enjoy teaching at a school that shares my pedagogical core values of student-centered learning, equality, service, and the celebration of a multiplicity of perspectives." Juliet is most looking forward to, "becoming a part of a great community of learners and educators, and helping my students achieve their goals."

In addition to classical guitar, Juliet also plays and teaches ukulele. In her free time she enjoy spending time with family, listening to music, reading, and embroidering.

She and her husband Abul have two Persian cats, Jasper and Ameera.
