Marli Bennett

Education: B.A. in Psychology, Temple University;  M.S. in Sport and Exercise Psychology, The University of North Carolina at Greensboro

Marli joined the NGFS community in the Fall of 2013 as the Assistant Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. In January 2015, she stepped into her current role as Assistant Athletic Director. Marli is passionate about mentoring youth through sports and physical activity while nurturing the whole child.

Marli was offered numerous college scholarships for both volleyball and basketball. In high school, she was a 4 year letter-winner and starter for both sports and state championship contender in the high jump. While at Temple University, Marli was a 4-year starter for the women’s basketball team. She was recruited by and played for the legendary Dawn Staley.  Marli received the Unsung Hero Award, Owl Club Academic Award and Big 5 All-Academic honors for women’s basketball. Marli has been coaching basketball for 4 years. In her inaugural season as a head coach for the varsity girls’ basketball team at C.W. Stanford Middle School, the team won their division championship with a record of 9-3.
